Who we are
Be Positive Bipolar Selfhelp, Malta organizes self-help groups for people suffering from Bipolar disorder (or rather Survivors) and their carers. The meetings are confidential, and members meet to share and discuss their experiences as they feel comfortable to. Through these groups, we hope people empower themselves to improve their quality of life and of those around them.
What we do
Our mission is to provide a friendly, safe and positive environment for people suffering from Bipolar disorder and their carers, to express themselves, share experiences and be more aware of this condition and how best to deal with it.
Where to find us
Meetings are held monthly.
We invite everyone who suffers from this condition and their carers, to come and meet us.
Come and listen – we can help each other, you are not alone!

Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca is the ninth President of the Republic of Malta. She took the oath of President of Malta on the 4th of April 2014 through a parliamentary resolution that was approved unanimously by the House of Representatives on 1 April 2014.
For us, a young self-help group dealing with mental health issues, the President immediately came forward to offer us the use of the Russian Chapel, inside San Anton Palace, to house our monthly meetings.
This helped us a lot since what already was stigma, was not further emphasised localy. Since our first meeting on the 8th May 2015, we normally meet every second Friday of the month – unless it is a Public Holiday.
Meanwhile, on the 1st September, 2015, we were honoured that the President, H.E. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, accepted to be our Patron.
The first version of this Website was created by Carlo Prato. It was launched by our Patron during a Special Presentation on the 30th March 2016 during World Bipolar Day, at the Verdala Palace.
